Mission:
The goal of the Safe Church committee is to ensure the safety of church members and attendees, as well as to protect church property. We do this by working closely with the Pastor and other church committees to develop and implement policies and procedures designed to ensure a safe and healthy environment for worship and ministry.
The health and safety of the congregation is a key aspect of the church’s culture of caring. The Safe Church Committee is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for the religious community. The church provides knowledge, focus and resources (including an onsite automated external defibrillator), while the congregation and staff provide skill, alertness, and caring.
Specific duties of the committee include:
- Performing background checks on volunteers dealing with children
- Safety inspections of the church
- Working to keep a safe place to worship and meet
